GIVE THEM THE HAPPY,
HEALTHY SMILE THEY DESERVE
A child’s first visit to the dentist should be enjoyable. Children are not born with a natural fear of the dentist, but they can fear the unknown. Our office makes a special effort to use pleasant, non-frightening, simple words to describe each treatment. We want you and your child to feel at ease from the moment your family arrives at our office. The more you and your child know about the first visit, the better you will feel.
ORTHODONTICS FOR TEENS AND ADULTS
We are dedicated to providing exceptional orthodontic care to patients of all ages. It is never too late to achieve the smile of your dreams. At Brentwood Pediatric Dentistry, we carefully create a specialized plan to align your teeth so that you can enjoy better health and renewed confidence.
When should my child visit the dentist?
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children should visit the dentist by their first birthday. It is important that your child’s newly-erupted teeth (erupting at six to twelve months of age) receive proper dental care and benefit from proper oral hygiene habits right from the beginning.
Regular exams are an important part of maintaining your child’s oral health. During your child’s regular exam, we will look for cavities or any other signs of tooth decay, inspect the teeth and gums for gingivitis and signs of periodontal disease, and perform a thorough teeth cleaning. In addition to regular exams, we provide fluoride treatments, extractions, mouthguards and nightguards.
We offer restorative services that prevent further damage to the teeth after cavities are present or a chipped tooth has occurred. Fillings include ceramic and plastic compounds to mimic the natural appearance of teeth. Sealants help prevent tooth decay by covering up tiny cracks that toothbrushes have a hard time reaching. Our restorative services help keep your child’s smile happy and healthy!
We are pleased to offer your child the option of comfortable, safe, and effective sedation dentistry. Sedation dentistry allows your pediatric dentist to provide a variety of dental treatments safely and comfortably for children who experience anxiety when visiting the dentist.
